Nobel Peace Prize Goes to Tunisia

Nobel Peace Prize Awarded To The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet
The Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo announced, on this Friday-09th October 2015, The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet as the Nobel Peace Prize for 2015. The Quartet consists of the Tunisian General Labor Union, or U.G.T.T, the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts, or UTICA, the Tunisian Human Rights League, or L.T.D.H, and the Tunisian Order of Lawyers. The award comes as a tribute to "its decisive contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia in the wake of the Jasmine Revolution of 2011."
Tunisia won 2015 Nobel Prize in peace over 237 nominees such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Eritrean priest Abba Mussie Zerai, Congolese doctor Denis Mukwege and Pope Francis. It's the first time that an Arab country gets such a prize.
The Tunisian Prime Minister; Habib Seid, said that this reward is a tribute not just to the Quartet but to the Tunisian people who has gone through many difficulties and has sacrificed a lot to fulfill the dream of pluralistic democracy. A land where all Tunisians are equals. Furthermore; this reward is a global recognition of the peaceful process and choice that the Jasmin Revolution has taken.
Personally, i am proud of such a recognition that shows how big the achievement this country has accomplished. Since 2011, Tunisia has been defying many challenges and every time Tunisians Win.
